Hey guys so originally I was scheduled to start in January, but now it turns out there's an opening for Ohio, and I'm getting on a bus in about 30 hours or so and be on my jolly way! So just wondering who else is going to be in class?

Congrats Villa. You will get a lot out of the class if you watch, listen and learn. Good luck to you.

Alright guys, so today was my first official day at Trenton. I was happily surprised to find out that my roommate was khakiblur! Couldn't have had a better roommate. Looks like half of the class dropped before it started. I think Bill said that there were gonna be 8 originally and then four dropped. So thanks to that I was able to move my date up. Looks like we're gonna get into the trucks as soon as Wednesday to do the "Millis 500". Can't wait to start shifting some gears. So I guess I'll go ahead and keep this post updated, as the days go by.

    Congrats!

As Bear said - watch, listen and most of all ask questions!

I'll look for you if I'm through there in the next week or so.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out for ya Barritone. So today was day 2 of my Millis adventure. Today we learned logs, which are still a little confusing for me, but I think they'll make more sense once I start using them. We also did the road atlas and other class stuff. Tomorrow is the Millis 500 and Chicken Wednesday! Wow what an exciting day :)! We met a guy named Kurt too from the class that just finished, man he was pumped! It's really great to see a newbie w/ so much enthusiasm. So yeah nothing too exciting today except maybe the tornado, but that quickly went away. So I'll let you guys know how the 500 went tomorrow.

Just finished last week in Cartersville. Great bunch of guys and learned a lot. Going out with my trainer on Sunday and will do my test in a couple of weeks.
Forget everything you think you know and listen to your instructors and it will be a breeze. We lost one guy who quit out of a class of 9 but I think that many passing was rare.

Thanks minmac for the reply, hey was the backing test hard? Can you give me more info on how it goes? Does he guide you through, are you really only allowed 2 or 3 pullups? My roommate and I are kinda freaking out, any input would be very much appreciated.

Hey guys checking in, didn't get much replies or questions so I haven't been updating as frequently as I thought I would. Well today is Wednesday we're on our second week of training, we're halfway done, woot woot! We're doing alley dock backing, offset backing, among other things. It is pretty exhausting, but this is a first for the four of us so it's a bit nerve wrecking, especially knowing that we're going to have a test on this, and supposedly if we fail we get sent home. So far all of us have been doing pretty well, and we're all very serious guys and none of us had any issues so far. So yeah right now I'm kinda freaking out but I think I'll be okay. Also tomorrow we go out on the road for the very first time, I'm very nervous I hope I don't screw it up, so wish me luck guys! :biggrin_25523:

Going well here after the 2nd week. All 4 people in the class passed their backing tests, and everyone has about 3 hours drive time out on the roads.

    So far so good.

Like everyone has said in the past, listen to your instructors!
