I think you made a good choice. Cartersville driving range is big and open. People are friendly. Your hotel was recently updated from what I hear. There is a Waffle House and a sports bar next to the hotel. 2 truck stops across I 75.
One thing I didn't metion was QualCom. Millis uses this service. You will hear alot of drivers "bark" about it because it allows "big brother" to watch you! Millis did not match computer readings to log book entries when I was there. From what I hear from current drivers, they still do not.
Best of Luck!
mmm Waffle House MMM Just remember dont eat steak at the waffle house if you do you will be poopin colors shermin williams aint heard of.

FYI I got my learners today 100% on air brake combination and general knowledge so basically Im all set for school in cartersville in FEB woo hoooo.

I visited the other unnamed forum you mention i would of responded their but I only post at the best forum which is here.
Its unfortunate your and those other 2 dude's situations,
But to say we Millis drivers should be ashamed to work here
is quite arrogant.
Your problem is with one aspect of millis and not the company as a whole which to me from 6 years or so of driving to be the best one yet from recruiting all the way to the shop. TherEs some bad days some good ones like any other carrier.
For the most part the only whining i hear is from students and thats just about the lenght of training that's a bad thing? normal i guess.
This is the best carrier i have ever worked for.
And I sir will continue to drive for them as long as they let me or I let them. And im quite sure that most all millis drivers agree.
Im not forced to do anything here you do what you can get paid when your suppose to and are home when your suppose to be.
I love it this is why i came bac to millis
Best of luck to you

They sent me the Dot Long form to have my Dr fill out and then they want you to send it back to them And to have it done 60 days before you go to school this way your medical card(they provide) is freshly up to date.
Only issue is your medical history is between you and your doctor,he's the one who certifies that you meet the DOT regulations. Them getting your long form could (I said Could)lead to them disqualifing you.
(rather discriminating against you)
If you need more info call and ask to speak to Jazz. She is the one that does the coordinating. I have my letter from MILLIS,I'm getting my CDL here at home first and then will decide what company to go work for.Keeping my options open. If I choose MILLIS I still Have to attend MTI and be under contract for the $2500 and 1year. Best of Luck
Schneider has you do the egronomics test. Squating, pulling, lifting crate with WEIGHTS all things to simulate what is required for the job.It can be downloaded from thier site. I'm told the biggest thing with most companies especially flatbed is BLOOD PRESSURE! MAKE SURE ITS CONTROLED IF NOT WORK ON IT AND WHILE YOUR AT IT START EXERCISING(INFO I'M ALSO FOLLOWING)
