I am starting driving school next month and was a little worried about a incident that happened to me 5 months ago. I want to know if this will affect my job prospects. I was rear ended in my personal auto at a stop sign by a 4 time revoked driver(uninsured). He hit me at 50mph and broke my neck in two places. I have since recovered after $60,000 worth of surgery and 5+ months recovery time. I have received a full release for truck driving from my DR. and am pain free I was very fortunate to have a wonderful GOLD rated health insurance policy! . The driver that hit me was cited and arrested I received no citation or fine. The guy that hit me ended up with a $300.00 fine and is still driving without a license. I would like to know if this incident will affect my getting a driving job?. THANKS for your answers!

I had a car/deer accident...It was an issue until I gave them the accident report and that turned it into a non-issue....

THANKS! I am unaware if this incident even shows up on my record. I do have a copy of the report and will use it if it becomes necessary. The insurance laws in Wisconsin has no teeth!. My wife believes in OVER INSURING EVERYTHING! She had the foresight to put a 2 mill. umbrella policy on my full coverage. I have questioned her in the past about the added expense of doing so. (I no longer question her!).

You should have no problem since there were no points issued to you. Sorry to hear that had happened to you. I can truthfully say that if it were me and I seen this guy now I know for a fact he would definitely not be driving. Just saying.

I was in an accident where a lady came across the yellow line and hit me head on. It showed up on my driving record so what I had to do was keep copies of the accident report on hand and just turn them into potential employeers along with my driving record that way they see up front that it was not my fault. This is best to do because when they see the accident on ur record they will either ask for a copy of the accident report then it will have to be turned into safety which will delay the process but would probably clear u. Or they will just put ur app at the bottom and move to the next with no problems. So just make several copies of the accident report and turn them in with ur dmv record.

Another thing; after the accident the other driver tried to pull that :: lets just exchange information then you get a estament of all damage and I will write you a check:: When I insisted on a police report he said thanks for ruining my life!. The NUTS are out there that's for sure!. In Wisconsin its only the law to have auto insurance after you have a accident not before!. Let me tell you all from my experience OVER INSURE yourself!. In my case my wife's decision to get so much insurance on my auto coverage really paid off!. I expect a nice settlement I contacted my insurance company ONLY to report the accident and gave them no details, My next call was to a attorney!

I recently hired a fella to drive for us and he had an accident of his record that
was not his fault. The insurance company just wanted proof such as a police
report to verify that he was not at fault before we could hire him.

Like the other person stated just let them know when you turn in your app and
also give them a copy of the report as they will ask for it later. That should clear
things up from the get-go and save time in the process.

Good idea! I will make sure to have plenty of photocopies of my driving record as well as the police report on the accident!
