| Need advice - License suspended for 1 year Hope I'm posting this in the right forum. Here's what happened. I've been driving now about 4 months and on my very 2nd load I hit the front bumper of a car with my rear trailer tire. I was turning off a freeway and going under an overpass and pulled over about a block and a half down the road after the accident. It was the first place I could find. Anyway, I no sooner got out of my truck than the Anderson Mo police pull up. He was a pretty sympathetic cop and after lots of questions gave me a ticket for an improper turn. Well, no sooner is he writing the ticket then a state trooper pulls up asks the cop if he gave me a ticket for 'leaving the scene. I protested that I pulled over the first place I could and the trooper explained in the state of MO you have to leave your vehicle where the accident occured. I begged him not to give me that ticket as it clearly was not my intention to leave the scene. He said it's not that bad like 'fleeing the scene' and was really not that big a deal. So, the cop gives me both tickets and I have to pay them (post bond I guess?) then pending a court case. I had every intention of fighting these tickets (though $ was way short as I had just started driving) and damned if the Mo cop doesn't call my house while I'm on the road and tell my wife that I don't have to go to court. Just sign the tickets and send them in - "it's no big deal". Well getting to MO was proving difficult not to mention finding a lawyer in this podunk town and I did the stupid thing and turned the tickets in. About a month ago I got a letter from MO saying their DMV point system showed me being over the limit and that my Com license was suspend there for one year. Then, one week later I get a letter from the state of Tx (where my license is issued) and that they too have suspended my license for one year. I got suspended from 10/7/07 tp 10/8/08 told my company and they said goodby. Is there anything I can do about this? TYA |

| This isn't what you want to hear but by you paying those tickets you basically admitted guilt. At this point there isn't much you are going to be able to do. Also when you do get your license back you are going to find it difficult to get a decent job since you have a suspension on your record. |
