Tattoos...

That would depend on the company. some companies have image requirments and some don't. I think maverik does. The company I was with hauling mobile medical scanners had a policy of no visable tattoo's. So if you have them on your lower arms just get used to long sleeve shirts. And stay away from the neck tattoo's. Personally I like neck tattoo's but that is one thng I have seen many negative reactions to.

 

I'm old school, and am not in a human resourses position by any stretch, but the obvious answer to your question is: The less visable ink the better.

IMO, the odds not getting a job due to a visable tat: It's gotta be much much higher.

People get tatoos to supposedly impress other low rent drivers, and/or their peers, NOT to make a possitive impresion on those who do the hiring...........

If you're still hell bent on getting one, then tatoo your axx. At least HR will never know about it.

 

I know drivers with sleeves who ran for Central, and Ive seen schneider and swift guys with them. But better paying companies may have higher standards. the best paying regional company in my area for example, i have never seen a driver or mechanic with visible tats. though it could just be coincedence.
