Roehl 7/7 fleet question

hello,
Still lurking around. Question for any Roehl drivers. There website states a 7 day on 7 day off van fleet is available in the Cleveland, Ohio hiring area. According to their website, its also available for students, no experience etc. How does this work? Doesnt make sense for a truck to be sitting 7 days. Do they slip seat the truck? If so, how do you get home, if there is no terminal nearby to exchange the truck and take your car home for your 7 days off? Is the 7/7 for real, or just a ploy to get you to go there?

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know where the nearest Roehl terminal is to Cleveland, Ohio....or any Roehl terminal in Ohio?

Makes sense that they would slip seat the truck. I guess the money would be alot less on a 7/7 fleet but home time is valuable also.

As stated, they like you to live within a certain distance from a drop yard or terminal. I want to say 150 miles, but don't quote me. You do slip seat with one other person, although if there is nobody else in that area the truck sits. From the guys I have talked to, they run their butts off and get back home with no hours to spare. I think the key to making 7/7 work is having something else to do when you're not working; a home based business perhaps.

Thanks for the info. Mogadore, OH terminal is an hour from Cleveland. Perfect then. Makes sense that when your 7 out is up, drop the truck at the terminal, and drive home. Cool.

ofcourse, I have to wonder if in reality it works out that way?

Yes, it does. If you are not in on time, the other person starts loosing money. From my understand, they work very hard to get you home. Obviously things can happen, but overall the seem pretty good about it.

I believe you have to be a full time driver for a certain period of time before they (Roehl) let you go on 7/7 unless you have previous experience.
