Yup. He is right. The term "good buddy" now is considered the equivalent of calling someone a queer.

Other things to "watch out" for are "click-click" (cb mic keying up) and then a channel number named. This is an invitation for homo-sexual men to meet up on another channel and "get together."

Another thing to watch for is in rest areas (aka pickle parks). 4 Wheelers and trucks will be sitting in the dark and when a motorist enters the rest area the parked vehicles brake lights will flash a couple of times and then go back out. This is an "invitation" to stop by and hook up.

Things I have learned over the years in my travels through observation and tips from other drivers.

Years ago, there was a television commercial for Preparation H, a truck driver sitting at the lunch counter at the drug store complaining about his hemroids to the pharmacist. The pharmacist suggested the driver use Preparation H. The next time the driver came into the durg store the pharmasist asked te driver how he was doing and the driver responded with something like, "Great! Thanks to you Good Buddy!"
Many years ago, calling someone "Good Buddy" didn't mean anything, but after this commercial it became the equivelant to calling a driver "######."
There are things we don't talk about, like taking a leak in a empty bottle and tossing it in the trash, most drivers do it, no one talks about it. I was standing in the check out line at the cashier in a truck stop, the rookie driver behind me commented about buying a drink that came in a bottle with a opening large enough to pee in. I knew he was a rookie because most drivers wouldn't talk about such things. So this guy must have been in training and his trainer felt the need to share this information, then the rookie, probably feeling a need to fit in with the rest of us, decided to share his knowledge.
I don't care if a driver likes men, craps in a pail, pees in a bottle, or wipes his nose on his sleeve, as long as he keeps it to himself.
