Its been well documented in this forum that USX and others will send you home from orientation.. a little reading would of prevented him the shock of being sent home and being prepared financially to handle it..

 

I am not putting him down in anyway.. All I am saying is somebody should informed him during training that he should research potential companies. They all are not equal and there is so much information on the internet you can find out so you can be fully prepared.

I agree --- to a point.
Why expect others to inform a wannaBee how and/or why to research? Where does the wannaBee's OWN initiative enter the picture?
There are numerous truckin' related web sites where such information can be obtained, and this one, IMO, is the best. A simple Google search will list many such sites. To NOT utilize the wonders of the internet to learn indicates what?
Lazy?

Folks -- it's YOUR life!
Take charge yourselves.
Don't expect others to provide all the information required when faced with important decisions. If you're given wrong information, who's fault is that?
Their's?
Or your's?

Has it occurred to you, that no one under 30 (sometimes 50) wants to be informed of anything that might interfere with their delusions?

The new American, would rather someone else do it for them. The scream foul when they lose everything.

and disregarding the rest --- and/or, shooting the messenger and ignoring the message.

I was trying to be nice about it.. To be honest I wanted to say he should of known to do his own research then just reading the literature the company sent him.

On the other hand if somebody paid me to train them I would of gave them that information as well.. I would of felt that would of been my job in preparing them for a trucking job and not just trying to teach him how to drive.
