They sure do. If you are driving a truck capable of going beyond 65mph, you won't be going to Ontario. #### canadians. Now I am stuck at 65 all day and I never cross the border, but our trucks do.

 

The last company I drove for, the trucks would only go 63. They never went to Canada either. So, you were driving one of the fast trucks.

I have no problems with my carrier . The main thing is to get the Canadian broker to process your paperwork by the time you reach the border . When using Livingston I write my ETA at the border to be 2 hours before I expect to be there . You can fax the PARS in 8 hours ahead of time and they still won't start to process it until an hour before your ETA .
The other thing is I handle all the procedure with the broker . I fax the paperwork from the shipper and I call the broker for confirmation .

 

I also call my broker to confirm the paperwork is there. Then I remind them of the ETA and make sure they have it done prior to my arrival by 3 hours.

 

Yes, make sure your PARS numbers are registered BEFORE you get there.

My husbands truck is not governed he comes here anyway, but we are playing the "hope he doesn't get pulled over" game.

 

I've never had my limiter checked but never been inspected t the scales either . I usually cross into Canada after 3 p.m. and the supercoops on the 402 have never been open when I went through . I had a level 1 at Trafalgar last year . I've crossed a few other scales when they were open with no problem .

 

$200.00 just to cross into Windsor! Sounds too good to be true but if true how could it not be worth it?
