Music move

Try, great places to retire to, on the web, considering moving myself. I get a newsletter every month telling you; above cost of living, average cost of living and below average cost of living. They have some near Myrle beach( Lake Crossing I think), Georgia, Tennesee, Louisiana, just to mention a few. drive55cat

I looked up that link and bookmarked it, my grandparents retired to north Georgia. My father also passed away there when staying with my grandparents for awhile. I don't remember much about it, except for red dirt.

WY sucks you wouldn't like it. It snows in June and freezes in August. You really wouldn't like it.

But, if you are a fan of the "wind-blown" look, Wyoming is your place.

There is a reason our population is what it is. It takes a very strong constitution to live here. Just look to CO, their country side and weather is not a lot different than WY other than the wind, and they have many times the population we do.

Wyoming is not so bad--people are pretty nice out there. Montana--too many mtns for me--Tennesse is a nice area. NC is fairly decent place to live--but i would love to move out west somewhere. I think I would move to Wyoming just to terrorize my sons--they would go crazy out there! LOL Its beautiful out there though--nothin like the wide open lands! Kentucky is pretty decent too but they have really big bugs!

My wife and I grew up in KY. (She moved out here before we got married) Once you get used to the 15% humidity you will NEVER go back east during the summer time. You can't stand the 98% humidity where you break a sweat sitting in a lawn chair under a shade tree.

Truthfully--born and raised in the southeast--i would have to get used to the cold! LOL The heat dont bother me none--i luv warm weather--the cold hibernates me! LOL Guess i would need to buy a lot of clothes--hmm good reason to move west--i feel a shopping spree coming on! Plus it snows weird out there! It would take some gettin used to--blowing snow! Weird thing there but i remember driving in that in wyoming--dont recall it bein that fun either! LOL Funniest thing i ever saw out there was the "high winds warning"--then once i experience i understood and prayed i could keep that truck in the road across there with only 11,000 pounds! LOL Live and learn i guess but its beautiful out there! Nicest people in the truck stops too!

You're among a growing trend... There are many people moving from the north and south to the central. My parents moved to FL in 86 from CT. After 21 yrs they moved to Bristol, VA and love every second of it although they are now retired. Wages in that area are horrendous but land is cheap! 12 more yrs till my 1st retirement and I'm in VA for sure.

If I had a chance I would move to Tennessee.
If they would let us transfer, I would in a heartbeat!
