That is quite nasty and your trainer was a slob....I would have refused to ride in a truck that stinks like piss.....I remember when my trainer actually did #2 in a plastic bag and threw it onto the interstate.....I got off that truck after I called fleet and explained to them what had happened..that is down right nasty when a trainer does not respect himself/herself and does crap like that..anyway I got another trainer and he was the best of them all....

This was NOT at Werner. My very first trucking job out of school was with a dude that owned three trucks. He used a pee bottle and would get mad at me because I would stop and use a rest stop or something. Truck stops were out of the question unless you were fueling because they took too much time. We eventually got into it because I would not use the SAME pee bottle he used. His reasoning was he is married, doesnt cheat, perfectly healthy, us white people need to not be so up tight. He was black and he turned it racial from that point on. Of course I countered with some things that were not right, made me appear something I wasnt... Live and ya learn. I learned if there is a pee bottle in the truck, I'm not even getting in.

My filth-bag trainer with CRST got over the peeing in bottle program when I brake checked the truck everytime he was trying to do it. He only had a limited number of smelly clothes with him, so when that happened, he would normally have to get out at the next stop with a huge pee spot on his pants. He also had only one tooth in the front and when he talked it would jiggle because it was loose....I called him "The Jiggletooth." He never got it....

Some of these companies are so depsarate for trainers they will let any scumbag train new drivers. I basically had to train myself because all he did was scream at me incessantly 50 things at one time "Watch the curb, Watch your tail swing, watch the other truck, watch the fuel pump, watch the curb again"....literally all in one breath. I eventually told him I had only one set of eyes and I would watch one thing at a time and if I hit something, it was my fault. He literally was tossed into the trainer program the day after orientation ended and all he cared about was wearing his stupid "Lead Driver" hat that the company gave him.

And your trainer didn't dock you for excessive or improper use of the air brakes?
Hmmmmmm
You lucked out.

Thanks to you? How funny is that? Why not just let him do his thang, even if YOU didn't approve? That way, maybe you wouldn't have to ride around in a Big truck that smelled like, ...... well,....... you know.

Teeth are good for chewing -- but I doubt they are necessary for training.
BTW, did that trainer make fun of YOU?

If they didn't do that, you'd still be standing in line waiting for the next available trainer that met your exacting standards.
Then again, there's always the possibility that a more astute trainer wouldn't want to train YOU.

Now THAT'S scary.
Unless the trainer had a good reason to be yellin' all those things at once.
I think that'd go beyond scary. Maybe frightening.
Ya reckon.

RED FLAG!! IF your trainer was tryin' to getcha to watch MORE than "one thing at a time" while drivin' that Big ol' truck -- he was doin' the right thing. IF it took him screaming incessantly to get the point across, perhaps YOU were doin' the wrong thing.

and if I hit something, it was my fault.
PARTLY the trainee's fault.
MOSTLY the trainer's fault.
But "fault" isn't really the important issue.
It's safety, and the way to accomplish same.
Safety is NO accident.
You sound as though you think hitting "something" is really no big deal.
Hmmmmmmm

I'm wondering if your trainer's bladder activity might be a direct result of your driving as you were, -- "Basically" training yourself.

That's interesting.
I wonder why they didn't choose you?

I suppose it would be about as funny as "REJECTED" --- written in red at the bottom of the final evaluation report.
