Angry CR England means bankrupt

Anybody wanting to get a CDL attend CR England school. But do not let them brain wash you into thinking if you sign a lease you will make money you wont they will. If they mention lease run fast. I believe they have metal detectors at their SLC facility because they are afraid of a indenpendent contractor that signed a lease coming in with a weapon to do away with them becasuse he has lost everything because of them. My husband had 1 positive check since he signed his lease we dropped the truck at the yard and he has made more money they first week with Werner then ever with CR BE CAREFUL

You should get a billboard

The drivers who've been fleeced in C.Our.England Advert's fleece operator scam should get together and buy some billboard space over on Pioneer Road, maybe around the 10000 block. Right on the line the CRE training trucks use. Right there on the road for all to see.

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

CRE stands for theives

I started my career with Werner. I went through training and got my own truck. If that is what you want to call that piece of crap. Anyway, I lasted about 8 months with them but got sick of that electronic log book. That is a whole other thread. I thought I wanted to lease my own truck and make a fortune. So I went to CR England. I was willing to work for it. But I found out that I wasnt willing to die for it. In order to make the enourmous payment and all other fees that they throw at you, I had to take on a trainee. After getting me lost when I tried to get my if lucky 1 hours sleep and me waking up again with him tailgating in the rain through a contstruction zone with the engine brakes on. I had enough. I quit the CAT (training) program. I drove for them for 4 weeks. Yes, the miles were good, and the loads were there. But they could never get me home. After only taking home 300 bucks a week I decided to quit. It took them four days of sitting in Pheonix to get a load back to salt lake so I could return the truck. They did a return equipment inspection in front of me and went over it with a fine tooth comb. Pointed out a few things that were actually already there but i will give to them. It is noted that a more detailed inspection would come when time allowed (after i left for home). The time i did have that trainee i racked up a check for about 5 grand. I went home expecting this money to be in my next paycheck. I didnt recieve one. They hold your money for 60 days to make sure they can suck every penny out of you. They said the truck need new windows, tires, this and that and things I didnt even know the truck had. Long story short I got a check for 300 bucks out of 5,000. I was going to sue them but after reading the VERY fine print of my lease I saw that they covered themself in every aspect. So, if you dont mind earning less then a company driver, then become a lease owner. Hope you dont mind peanut butter and jelly. Oh yeah, they have loose leaf log book... bet you cant guess why!

Always get a lawyer

If you're a stubborn creature and insist on ignoring the herd and the good advice here, at least make sure you get a lawyer and have him/her go over any fleece agreement before you sign on the line.

I can't figure out how some get sucked into these fleece operator deals. My early guess would be these folks are too "nice" and assume the companies they sign the fleece agreements with are feel-good folks who look out for the best interest of the drivers.

Man, you made 5 grand and got back 300. That is up there with the best of the fleece jobs. I'd ask those guys if I could get all the parts they replaced. Assuming they're telling you the truth and did replace all those things. Maybe they did and maybe they didn't.

I have to say (and I've said this time and time again) CRE one day will fleece the wrong driver.

Well, Tip, I see it like this. Some folks got the urge to be their own boss, have the ol' "American Dream", make that big dough like everyone else. But they have lousy credit, or little experience, or something similar. They see the colorful ads..."No Money Down!".... "No training? No problem!"....and the hook is set.....
