Schneider Out 14/Home 7 ?

Spent a year doing a 6 and 3 at Schneider. Can you can get by on a average of 2500 a month? If so, you can pay your bills.

 

Should add, you gotta share 2 trucks with 2 complete strangers. (2 drivers out, 1 at home) It's a crap shoot on their cleanliness. Keep in mind, you're sharing the same bunk they've slept in. (Of course, they gotta sleep in your crap too)!

 

It's called the home run program. Yes it is true. Is it worth it? Another question all by itself... The people I know who run it start on a Wednesday and run for 2 weeks. Stop on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. They don't get a pile of miles but enough to "survive". If your earning needs are low and you want plenty of time at home it might be for you, but if you need to earn a living this might not be the best route. In most of these cases the drivers share 2 trucks with 2 other drivers.

 

some of these jobs are legit-but not practical-you need to check them out closely-what is the average miles that you would run/your level on the pay scale,etc-and companies don't usually offer them to rookies

 

Schneider will offer those positions to anyone who inquires about it, their experience make no difference.

They gotta drop yard up there, (in your area) and a terminal in Portland. So no problem there.
