I DO remember one REALLY good shipper and receiver called Unilver (http://www.unilever.com/ourbrands/) ...they make Dove soap, and so much more. Truckers SHOULD use them as they DO treat truckers pretty good! We need a list of good shippers, etc., that truckers WILL use because they treat us and our families so good! The one's who treat us like ####, we need to screw them as they screw us...like Food Lion, and others. Oh, and I remember Publix (except Lakeland, Florida) being VERY decent to truckers AND give truckers places to sleep as they wait in MOST of their facilities!
Just MHO. LOL.
Unilever - The Makers of Dove and more... AWESOME!

They have a big (and busy) plant right across the street from Cargill on Indianapolis Blvd in Hammond Indiana. I see trucks there all the time when I am picking up starch from Cargill.
-
Oh, I will NEVER forget how good they treated me AND they are oriented toward the safety of truckers AND the motoring public as well! They truly deserve to be "busy" and they have my business!
-
Yeah they are a really good company, i remember running for them out of Owensboro, KY for Reckeitt Benckiser, (i think they made Ragu there) everyone at that plant was really nice and they were Very quick when you had to get live loaded
-
Yes, that IS where Ragu is made and i HAVE pulled out of there MANY times. Eat Ragu, people, EAT Ragu! Seriously, they DO deserve credit and we SHOULD give it to them!
They are sooo good of a company...I respect them, IF they have a problem, they TELL you!The Challenger Thanks this. -

I worked for a company whose primary customer was Unilever and I gotta admit I was SHOCKED to see them so highly recommended since I had to deal with their corporate idiots in CT all the time (seriously, I have never worked with a bigger bunch of morons in my life)... but I do have to admit that the Grimes Ave facility in Owensboro has the nicest guy in the world running their shipping dock
alds Thanks this. -
Can't remember which Unilever DC I was at, but the yard dog saw that a trlr was too high for my truck and as I was about to get crankin', he stopped me and pulled it out and moved it and lowered it for me and I didn't even ask!
The Lowe's DC's are pretty good too. I have yet to go to a Lowe's DC that didn't have a place for you to park whether on their property or near it and they all generally have more than adequate space for backing. The Challenger Thanks this.
