You did log that as on-duty not driving, right

Totally unforgivable!

What's your worst?
Being a HHG driver management on occasions hold shipments hostage for days, charging storage and truck penalties. If the customer did not pay we would auction their entire life of stuff off at the end of the year. Thousands of families loose everything because of hidden costs and the corporate dogs and management pick through everything the day before the sale.

Longest time I've had to wait to get unloaded...

(you ain't gonna believe this...)

10 days...had to wait for the weather to dry out...the jobsite got rained out several times. There were other trucks that were waiting also, some possiably longer waiting periods

New record for me the other day.

12 hours at Motts in Williamson, NY.

Checked in at 1000 and was told to tune to Ch 13 and they would call me to a dock.
They called me into a dock at 1930, started loading at 2045 and finished at 2200.

I had to bust my keister to get it to St Paul,MN on time.

I'll go along with that! 13 hours at Opelika, AL at CharBroil back in 1999. I did learn my favorite blond joke while there (I'm blond, and I love blond jokes!).

One other amusing tale is when I was working for a local company. I started out driving for them on graveyard shift - couldn't sleep during the day without being in a truck, so had to give that up. They moved me to dispatch, but still had me pick up or deliver some stuff periodically. They sent me to one of our regulars to pick up a full trailer load. Told me the customer didn't load the trucks. I said "Watch me". Get out there, get in the dock, and go inside. They give me a manual pallet jack and showed me where they had the load staged. Got stuck on the dock plate with the first skid. They give me an electric pallet jack, which I couldn't get to do anything but go in circles. They loaded the trailer. Told the guys about it when I got back, and they just laughed! I believe in working smarter, not harder! It doesn't hurt to be 5'2", female, blond, and decent looking either.

My longest was 10 or 12 hours. I was longer one time but that was because I crawled in the bunk and the guard woke me up in the middle of the night.
