Georgia Pacific is massive! I've been to countless GP's and still haven't been to all of them. I doubt I'll ever see all of them.

For me, it has almost always been drop/hook paper loads. Sometimes light loads for finished products like paper towels, and sometimes heavy loads for paper rolls or scrap paper.

Usually a good shipper/reciever. Usually big places w/lots of room to move around. Sometimes there's a line waiting to get in/out or a jerk in the office, but overall, when I see I'm going to a GP facility, I've got no complaints.

The ones i've been to (flatbed) were decent. If you're a Van puller i'm not sure we'd be loaded / unloaded in the same spot, so it may differ.

I always got loaded reasonably fast there and no troubles to speak of. That was in the Bremerton Wa plant.

I used to work for them up in NJ for the Building Products division. Then they sold it and renamed the new company BlueLinx.

I haul a lot of GP loads. The names have changed at a lot of them. I am looking for one name and the sign reads another. The last blue linx load I had was a nightmare. Picked in TN a 3 stopper to LA, and 2 drops TX, Dallas and Ft Worth. Of course they put the 1st drop (vinyl siding) in the middle of the trailer. Tall load and had a bear of a time retarping twice!

I love GP. I actually almost fell in love with a girl(security) at a GP facility in Mississippi. I got scared we were so much alike a stopped answering her phone calls(what a dumba#* thing to do now that I look back). Back to GP, I have hauled both flat and van out of GP facilities and by far my favorite is flatbed loads of OSB(Oriented Strand Board - more commonly known as plywood) I have loaded this OSB at 3 or 4 different facilities and never once waited more than an hour to get loaded and tarped, generally only a half hour or so as long as it isn't lunch time and they provide an area to get that rag on. I hope the freight from these guys doesn't dry up as they are almost my favorite shipper.

BlueLinx does suck. The one in Denver is super anal about their appointment times. First off you must make appointment AT LEAST 24 hrs ahead, preferably more. Second of all if you are one minute late then you are screwed. It takes a minimum of another 24 hrs to get another appointment. You can be plenty early for your appointment and yet they will take their good sweet time getting you unloaded once you are there.

GP in Big Island, VA sucks. You might sit forever waiting on live load. Girl in scalehouse is rude, and it is in a very bad location--hard to get to and lots of hills, narrow 2 lanes, and whether delivering or picking up, you will be heavy.

Is this rolled paper(always heavy everywhere and almost always in the hills in BFE) or is it plywood(also always heavy-45,000+) or is it something else?
