Kenworth is pleased to introduce a glider kit to support 2004 EPA emissions engines. Models available are the T800 split fender, and the T660. Production will begin during third quarter 2012. Until the program sales codes are available in the Data Book and PROSPECTOR®, dealers should follow the ordering process outlined in this bulletin.
    [h=2]Program Details[/h]· Orders of three or more will be prioritized.
    · Model choice: T800 Split Fender, or T660.
    · Customer supplied automatic and automated transmissions required to be same vintage as engine.
    · Rolling or Non-rolling.
    · Cab and Interior – current production.
    · All sleeper sizes available.
    · Electrical architecture (NAMux 3).
    · Cooling module – current production.
    · Limited battery box, tool box and fuel tank configurations available (see tables below).
    · No ship-loose parts.
    Rolling Gliders Include:
    · Published Dana rear axles, published Bendix brakes, wheels and tires.
    · Proprietary Suspensions only, AG380/400/460/400L.
    · Published 5[SUP]th[/SUP] wheel.
    · Air system / tanks / piping / ABS.
    · Suspension cross-members / tail lamps / mudflaps.
    · Tractor kits.

    That's great. A glider that supports an EGR equipped engine (EPA04). Wow. Makes me want to jump on that bandwagon. I think the glider I ordered with EPA98 compliant engine is the better buy. No EGR. I will admit the offering by KW is better than no offering at all, but like a poor marksman, they failed to hit the bullseye.

    Looks like its a 389 glider for me instead. Was hoping for a w900.

    I think I'll apply for a job at kw. Maybe COO I'll increase their sales by 10% at least. Lol

    Not a big deal. Like Magoo68 said the MBN and the first Acert BXS all use the same 70 pin harness as the late E models and the 6NZ's. They just don't offer the old 40pin stuff or mechanical linkage for a B model. I'm more irritated about the lack of the W9 especially since the only difference from the T8 and the 660 is the front axle location and the hood. With enough complaints the could possibly be persuaded.

    Must be trying to gauge demand. I would imagine it won't be long before customer demand leads them to offering W900. I'd take a single turbo CAT T660 it'd be a great truck for what I do.

    W-900 is being offered as of 07/20 according to my local dealer.
