My first flatbed truck (the one in the photo) was a short wheelbase (by FB standards) Columbia with a 70" sleeper. My 2nd FB truck was a long wheelbase Columbia with a 58" sleeper. My last FB truck was a long wheelbase Cascadia with a 60" sleeper. Any of these trucks has plenty of room for a solo driver. I trained in a 60" Cascadia, not a lot of room for 2 guys, but enough. FWIW the Volvo 670 (60" sleeper) I drove for the last 2 months has more room and far more storage space than ANY of the Freightliners I drove while in flatbed. My Cascadia has a 72" sleeper and about the same amount of storage space as the 60" Volvo. The bed (in my Cascadia) is MUCH bigger than the bed in a Volvo 670. If you're much more than 5'10" make sure you lie down in the bunk of a Volvo before you commit yourself to it.

As soon as I have the time to figure out how to get the pics off my phone onto my laptop I'll post some. Most of the pics I've taken have been on the phone because it's handier than getting the camera fired up. Bluebonn has a bunch on his Facebook page that I wish he would post here since I don't waste my time on that FB BS! I know a bunch of them are really incredible; I was there.

I may have only truly driven otr for 2-3 years but have used my cdl for over 5 years i still consider myself a rookie. I don't need to be around a certain amount of time to understand something as simple as poking fun or as some super truckers put it facts, I simply created a thread for swift drivers to post pics of their rigs. That should go without saying, there is no need to post a wrecked tractor or trailer. Swift board members dont wake up and say hey today lets roll a truck hauling a haz-mat load. They are a very big company and they employs thousands of employees both driving and non-driving jobs, so naturally they are going to have a higher rate at some things. Have a safe trip driver.
