Well the folks at See What I Fouled-up Today are at it again
A couple of weeks ago, I spotted (moved) a couple of empty trailers for a customer. Swift pays you $10 a trailer for this. This happened on a weds night. I sent in a message to the night DM explaining the trailer spots and numbers of said trailers.
Payday cut off is Thurs, and you can take a look at you next check on Fri. Look # my check and darn it, no trailer spots..
So I send a message to my DM... who says "I can't pay without the trailer numbers". I tell her they were sent via qualcomm and to just check the messages. No response....
Next week- no extra pay.
I ask again via email, where's my extra pay? Response: "well I can't back track them now, it's been too long. You should have asked when it didn't show on the 1st paycheck..."
Now, before you say it, I've resent the email requesting the addition pay to prove that I had asked at the right time.
This is a demonstration to those who are starting with Swift. I am NOT Saying they are a terrible company. Lesson is: keep track of all addition pay items and ride the the DM into the ground until they cough up the cash.. These guys and gals get very busy once you're outta sight, you are outta mind.
Well let's be honest, my DM doesn't have many brain cells that still make a connection. I hear she's training to be a planner

Well, the point of this message isn't to slam Swift. This is an object lesson for folks going to swift. Please remember that as a mega carrier, Swift has many drivers per DM. Those DM's are human, with all the frailties, faults, warts and foibles. You never know when they are taking alergy meds, had a bad nights sleep, or some other distraction in their life.
So, keep track of your important stuff (IE anything to do with pay, BOL's, tickets, scale reciepts). Always give them copies, not the originals. File your stuff on truck for a couple weeks then rotate it home. Those little expanding files from office stores are a god-send.
Now, if "they" want to read my posts and bother to hunt me down.... I do have 2 other job offers
. The only reason I'm here atm is better home-time, not pay.

Pal are you currently with Swift?intentions of moving on?

Ever heard of the term "donation time"?
That's what you did..... -
RM, funny you should ask. No sooner did I get those job offers (really was just sniffing around) and 'lo and behold, a new offer from my dm on a new run...
I guess I'll hang around a bit and see how this pans out.
Oh, and I have nothing against SWIFT itself, but big companies and I don't always mix. I have a very low tolerance for BullSnot...

HA HA HA ....funny how te "DM" magiclly found out and poof got you a good gig now..LOL so how are the operations goin as far as mileage and loads?
-
Next time take a picture of the qualcomm messages you send and receive. I have done this before to show proof of what was sent and received...

Yep Swift is going downhill. Swift is having financial problems. When I was at the Home Depot Distribution center, the guy in charge told me that Home Depot bought into Swift. And Swift did away with there Dedicated fleet for Home Depot. He also said Costco also bought into Swift. Last week when I was at costco"s Distribution center the whole place was full of only Swift trailers.

Good idea, but which of the 15 messages a day should I photo?

Right now I get $600 a week, 5 days. I hope to be moving to an hourly position, ranging from $800-1000 weekly. Nice little pay raise. And no, I don't have pictures of the boss playing golf with the devil....lol.
