![]() Here's an air conditioner/fan/mister, the 02-Cool. It doesn't tell you what it uses to keep it cool (except putting ice in it) and a statement about a "strong fan" which makes me think it's really just a fan unless you put ice in it. You can find it on storm preparedness, survival & more websites.

Can I throw a challenge out here? I think it'll debunk a common myth on truck voltage systems. The challenge is ................ name me a modern truck that uses 24v. 1990 and newer, yr, make, and model. I would go back to 1980 but I'm not that familiar with them. I know in my own personal experience that I have yet to drive a truck made since 1985 that was any thing other than 12v. Just because they have multiple batteries does not make them more than 12v.

| I just installed a www.ponypack.com APU on my truck. I haven't been in enough heat to have idled it much. But last week when I was in Abq NM it was 94 and I let it run while I was loading. NICE and COOL when I got back in the truck. It is louder than I like and I'm going to look and see if I can get a thermoking Tripac muffler to fit it.

| How come I never saw this before?! Thanks for the link Brickman! The multiuse feature is a definite plus! Heating, Cooliing &... Charging: The Pony Pack 200 110 Amp Ford alternator keeps your batteries charged so you can enjoy all your on-board 12 volt electronic conveniences all the time.

The nicest thing about PonyPack is that many of your replaceable items can be bought at NAPA or similar auto parts. Alternator, AC compressor, belts, idler pulley, relays etc. It was designed this way since they don't have a nation wide support system. Most any qualified truck mechanic can also work on the PP.
