Truck Coffee at Pilot

Most pilots have decent coffee, but the Pilot at Exit 96 on I-70 (Mount Comfort) has got to be the worst of the worst. The place is small, over-crowded. There is usually two or three oxygen sucking morons that don't know how to do their jobs. The coffee is stale if there is any brewed. The last time that I stopped there for, well, actually, it was more a restroom stop, for coffee they were OUT of coffee. I mean none, even the decaf was dry. A customer attempted to brew some on her own and the clerk was complaining to her manager that the customer was still trying to make coffee. That place has the worst service of any place that I have been.

I will NEVER buy anything else other than coffee, from ANY Pilot located in Montana and Washington state. Well...fuel for the showers.

These 2 states beat all the #### I've ever seen for Pilot. Montana has huge stores, of which half or more is a **** Casino. WOW!!! You might starve to death...but at least you can go broke while you're doing it!! Washington....well the chicken was good at the 2 I grabbed some at...no parking to speak of at all.

Rule of thunb for me now at all other Pilots...find parking FIRST. DO NOT attempt to pull through fuel island and grab a cup of coffe and run, that takes about an hour. Parking and getting it, takes about 15 minutes.

Pilot

I worked at the Pilot in San Antonio, TX for a few months... All I can say about Pilot is their attatude to drivers is get in, spend money, and GET OUT !!! The managment does not care about drivers personal needs at all. They will care if your in the 4-wheeler side..not the truck side. The coffee is the only thing they have going for them, food sucks and the showers are not much better.

I was in retail myself for many years. I was selfemployed. You have to balance getting the customers cash and sending them on their way to caring and all the other touchy feely sort of stuff. Many customers don't realize how much of the employee's time they waste and that of other customers in line behind them.

Pilot's coffee is better than most of the other places. It is not, however, comparable to Starbucks or many other places. I would not base my decission to go to Pilots based on their coffee.

Anyway, I encourage disgruntled drivers to avoid all Pilots. Lines will get shorter and my service will improve.

I was just at that Pilot a few days ago and must say I wasn't too impressed, but it could've been worse. The parking was bad. I got there late expecting to fuel up and park. But the fuel lines were long and sitting in line meant sitting on the road. There were only two parking spots left, so I forgot about the fueling and took forever to get my truck turned around so I could park without a blind-side. When I did fuel up the next afternoon (by late, I meant really early AM--my hours are sometimes a little crazy), I had an England lease driver ask me about driving for Roehl and gave him a referral card. Who would've thought he had just come from Wisconsin (where he lived), too?

it is true I say!!! TA bought petro and are running it under the same logo and last I heard had no plan to change it. wether that remains true is yet to be seen, But I think they would be smart to leave well enough alone. If it ain't broke ,don't fix it!!!

Maybe you guys know something I dont because Ive never had a problem with Pilots service or parking...except for their .5 acre lot in Nitro, WV. Whoever decided to buy that small amount of land needs to be slapped!

No there's one much worse than the one in Nitro, that would be the one in Cookeville TN. 10 spaces of which only 4 are accessible, 3 diesel lanes and 1 shower. The parking is about 50 feet off the diesel lanes and the diesel lanes are about 50 feet off the building. It's situated on a lot of about 150' X 250'.
