No son, you don't get all that at all. Western state miles with
a real truck you can easily, safely average 65 mph every day in the
week. East coast miles with a 62 mph truck
you can not safely or legally average 60 mph.
I have run a 3000 mile week many a time with only two
1500 mile runs. I loaded twice and unloaded twice. East
coast running averages closer to 500 miles each. To do
even a 2000 mile week you will run 4 loads. 4 times
loading and 4 times unloading.
Western state running I have run the entire week
with not one traffic jam. East coast running I have dealt with
3 or 4 major traffic jams in the same day. I have more than
once spent all day in Chicago just to unload and reload once.
The point is that not all areas are the same. Western Transport
has been in business for many years. They are apparently paying
for those shiny new Petes. They are doing something
right to make it work all these years.
Sure are a lot of bad companies out there!!
