Thieves get away with $800 rims from big rig
Thieves get away with $800 rims from big rig
4/18/07
njThe Jersey Journal, NJ
In the early morning hours yesterday, Jersey City police were dispatched to the Marion section on a report of thieves taking hubcaps from a tractor trailer parked on Broadway, Police Director Sam Jefferson said.
The North Bergen truck owner said he put seven aluminum rims in his truck at 6 p.m. and when he returned at 11 p.m., four of them - worth about $800 - were gone, police reports said.
The 28-year-old truck driver questioned attendants at a nearby gas station, but they said they hadn't noticed anyone taking the rims, reports said.
There are three security cameras at that gas station, but none was pointed in the direction of the truck, reports said.

No offense, but you'd have to be pretty stupid to live in Jersey City, then putting brand new wheels on a truck, parking it on the street, and expect them to be there later in the day....
