New SB I-75 Entrance Ramp To Open

DAYTON, Ohio -- The Ohio Department Of Transportation is getting ready to open a new entrance to southbound Interstate 75.ODOT is preparing to open the entrance ramp from Main Street on Wednesday. The ramp was scheduled to open on Tuesday morning, but due to the weekend rain and snow, the schedule was pushed back a day.While this new entrance ramp to southbound I-75 was being built, motorists were detoured to use the Grand Avenue ramp. However, that ramp will close on Wednesday at 10 a.m. when the new entrance ramp opens.The Main Street entrance ramp to southbound I-75 is part of the multi-year construction project at I-75 and Route 4. ODOT is in the process of working to smooth out the traffic flow through the intersection.ODOT has been working on the construction project for a couple of years and it is expected to be completed by 2011.
