Mercer cuts 200 leased truckers

a company that is cutting its o/o's...that just plain sucks
and right now i bet they will have a hard time leasing on anywhere else

 

This can't be happening. I mean, the media wants all of America to believe that trucking is the safety net for all the other jobs lost in other career fields.

 

Even here in Chicago they're still running stories about the "abundance" of jobs in the area for CDL holders. Too bad they never make mention of how much experience you need to land said job. Even with experience there's no guarantee!

 

Park the skate, find a reefer like I did - everyone needs to eat remember.....

 

Don't know if 200 is the final # or just what's been done so far. Driver I know just found out he's on the list to be cut when his plates run out. Sounds like plenty more grief is on the way. Ugh!

 

Yet guys want to still want to get into driving.

 

Yup , and soon after getting in many off them want to get out . The driving schools love it . There's always a need for replacement drivers .

 

Yet the schools will still take your money.

 

Driving school is the biggest scam in America,..


I never went to driving school,..I was lucky enough to get on the job training,....Somehow by the grace of God my career is back on track..
