Look at all the cars going by and not even bothering to stop and see if they can help.

Can't see how far back the exit ramp is, Looks to me as if he came off that ramp a little too fast. Brakes faded and had a O crap moment

Like I said, I think he had no idea what was going on. Regardless of what he told the cops, brakes went out, load shifted, etc. If they prove the brakes actually went out fine. But I think he exited expecting an off ramp and not a sudden stop with intersection and was playing with his girlfriend or something. Who knows. It's just a message board, I'm not out to crucify the guy. This is just what I think. But bravo to him for avoiding further disaster.

Well, the load shifted when the trailer hit the ground. His speed rolled him over.

Everyone keep talking about speeding and not slowing down WHAT PART OF LOOSING HIS BRAKES DONT YOU UNDERSTAND. If you coming off the interstate and loose you brakes yes you are going to be speeding and unless you can do like Fred and Barney you are not going to slow down

IMO if he were exiting the interstate correctly ie slowing down before he hit the off ramp seems he would have realized he had no brakes. then he could of stayed on the freeway safely coasted to a stop. sounds and looks to me he wasnt paying attention ie texting mesing with cell phone or something. I doubt he had brakes as he exited then all of the sudden halfway down the ramp he lost the brakes and he gained that much speed. IMO driver error too fast for conditions and reckless. luckily nobody was hurt. kudos to the person in the mini van for diving right in trying to help the driver.

The truth is that if your not in the driverseat you can not say what happened. Typically when the foot valve goes bad it effects the tractor and trailer brakes, and I have had them fail but I have always cauth it at slow speeds. There are a whole meriad of portioning valves in the brake lines that could cause a problem. DPS will inspect the tractor and trailer for failures, if the brakes failed they will find the problem.

One can not tell from a video what all was at play here.
