MVR question

So I was wondering why I hadn't been getting any callbacks for jobs over the last couple months of applying, pretty much everywhere. Which is odd because I have 8 yrs + experience and I should be at the top of the list of applicants. So I went down to the DMV and pulled my complete MVR. Forget the 3 year, I wanted to go back to the beginning of time, because companies are being picky nowadays, and I want to see what they're looking at.

This is what I have

Spec - HAZ failure to use due care

I'm curious as to why the speeding ticket is listed as commercial motor vehicle. I wasn't in a semi truck at the time, I was in my car. The company I worked for at the time had trucks governed at 60 mph, so doing 89 mph would be impossible, not to mention it was THANKSGIVING eve at around 9pm - and we don't work that day. I'm sure I have company records of being off at that time.

So, being it's such an old ticket do I just forget about it and wait a few months til it's off my 5 year? Or do I fight to get it taken off? Or did it just say Commercial Motor Vehicle to imply that I have a CDL and nothing more?

edit: my wife says it's because they recently merged anything personal vehicle related and commercial motor vehicle to where it didn't matter between the two. but that doesn't explain why it doesn't say "Commercial Motor Vehicle" next to my failure to use due care citation, it only says it by my speeding ticket.

 

I went ahead and got a copy of my DAC report. Be interesting to see if my 8 months at Werner put anything bad on there.

 

If they aren't on your MVR, I wouldn't say shiat to the trucking companies.

I wish I would have fought that ticket, I never knew you could get them reduced, I just figured I was guilty and there was no wiggle room. My mistake, but hey, it was a long time ago, I was 24 yrs old and not very wise.
