The training is fast. They do walk over the steps with you the first couple of times and then you are on your own. Do not take that the wrong way
the trianers are on the driving range with you they just only talk to you to tell you how to fix what you are doing wrong. I'm the type of guy to say
little but I listen alot. I have heard alot of the company drivers talking and they seem to be very happy. I have also heard from some of the O.O.
guys as well most of them are happy to. The O.O. that seem to be most happy are the ones that stay out and run like the Mississippi River.
I think that I got really lucky. My class that is on the range now is only like 9 guys and gals deep. The class before me has like 15 people in it. With
my class being so small we have all gotten to be in the truck alot, meaning one trainee and one trainer. I really say that I am happy with the choice
I made so far. The only bad part for me has been the long bus ride. I think that the classroom work done in Atlanta was great. I am still using
information that I learned there out here in Utah.

Ok I got to Utah on Sunday. Monday we spent most of the day at the DMV. After we passed the test back to the hotel we went. On Monday we went the the driving range. The first half of the the day we did straight backing. THe rest of the day after lunch we did offset backing. today the took us out to rookie road and showed us how to double clutch. They alos let us drive on I80. I was told I did well and that I just needed more practice to get the timing down better.
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Thank you for the useful information D1-2C. I am being sent to Memphis on the 23. I am just nervous because I have never driven a manual before. But I am determined to get my CDL.

I learned to Drive in a manual and it was more of a hindrance then help with driving a big rig. I had to forget some of what i had learned and taught myself over the years.
