Could we actually get a response from a ups fright/otr driver. You know the GRAY trucks.Someone who actually knows what they make and the qualifications and not a some bullwinkle.UPS truckload and the little brown trucks are 2 separate entities.I know thats a brain over load for some but this is a truckers site and most truckers drive semis not little box vans.Is to much to ask to get an answer from a driver and not some cdl school dreamer?

When all else fails go to your local UPS freight Hub (address available on upsjobs you know what) and get answers in the office or from drivers in the parking lot. Not much luck at truck stops all fueling is done at the Hubs, hope this helps.

| Why not check into driving for a U.S. Mail contractor? For a two wk pay period for example the first 80 hrs you get paid (varies by contract) 19.33 hr plus $4hr for health ins. (23.33hr total) and anything over the 80 hrs you just get paid $19.33... I know for the most part they probably require experience though.

I drive full time as team for UPS Freight if you can get into any part of UPS it's not to bad if you can put up with there crap and keep up with all the companies regulations seems they have a new one everyday. If you want to drive get to know someone and stay off the dock or sorting packages because it is hard to transfer out of those jobs and they are considered part time, you won't get many hours and the pay is only about 12.50 an hour, but you do get medical benefits. The company really sucks but the pay for drivers is awesome. I hired off the street into a full time position.

If you can get into UPS Freight Truckload as a company driver not thru one of there scab companies it would be beneficial to you as they are part of UPS freight and they just got accepted into the collective barganing and will be union soon and as I've heard they are talking about getting the same contract as UPS Freight
