I would, but I don't need that much life threatening adventure...and at my weight, I can't move fast enough to dodge all the NASCAR wannabes trying to qualify in the truckstop parking lot. Besides, how do ya think I came up with my user name? It's sorta a trademark. I mean, if Gabriel Iglasias lost weight, he would lose his trademarked 'Fluffy' image.

Just teasing ya! Even those of us that tailgate our freight could stand to lose a few.

Yep. Most of the folks there look like carnival workers. Glad I don’t have to deal with much of that.

Pulled into Four Oaks Sunday night around 8pm. Night crew got there at 10p, I pulled in, dropped my load and grabbed an empty. (Super nice place)

Now sitting in Apex NC for a load to Joliet IL, to hopefully get back towards Fremont for a more flatbed friendly trailer.

For anyone that hasn’t been to Sumter SC recently, there is a brand new drop lot right next to the plant where we go for all DnH loads... it’s just a bit further down the road from the old gates... one huge gated lot... just input the code (macro 11 for details) and the gate opens so no calls to make from the old gate. Go in and DnH your trailers and then there is a small building on the side where you sign paperwork like normal.

An Awesome Improvement for this Location!!!

    And speaking of Macro 11...

how often do others find themselves accessing this information? Until recently I assumed it was just “directions to get to location”... (I never used it unless GPS/Maps seemed off) ... I didn’t know there was additional information included as I thought those details were being sent via the “Additional Information” messages being sent to us.

So like the info I just posted about Sumter above was already included in the Macro 11 details but since I already knew where I was going and it’s fairly straightforward location, I didn’t get the updated details. Not a big deal.

I do try to request this information more often now, especially for first time visits, but seems like some of this information belong in Add’l Info vs Directions, but that may just be me.

curious how often others find that they use this macro even on customers where you’ve been to multiple times before.

If it’s a new location I prefer the information in the directions macro. I’ve been to a few places that even the truck GPS has put me in a bad situation, and if I had just pulled up the directions in the computer I wouldn’t have wound up in said situation.
