I remember this question was asked years ago and apparently if you didn’t have a french press and some overpriced sustainable beans that you grind in cab…..you were less than a human. OK. Maybe not that bad, but I do remember lots of silly comments from people who’s coffee choices were better than yours LOL
I stop at Pilot so that's where I get coffee..... when I get it at the TS. Loves is good. I drink the mild stuff. I don't get that stuff where it takes a whole can of creamer to get it to change color. Generally, I make Community Breakfast Blend at home in the mornings & fill up my 30oz Yeti. That will last me all day. I like some Nestle's French Vanilla in mine.
I make tea in the truck a quart at a time using Lipton cold brew teabags. Stick it in the fridge and it’s ready by the time it gets cold. All I drink is unsweetened tea, black coffee, or plain water. I cut out the sodas a long time ago. I will occasionally splurge on a chocolate milk though.
Cold brew or espresso machine. I do all my own grinding with a burr grinder and get beans from a local coffee shop . Iv been doing it this way for awhile now I would rather drink engine oil than the truck stop junk compared to professionally made coffee. I make my own creamer recipes from scratch too
I’m spoiled DD at home...on the road I have good customers They have break rooms...I bring in Thermos Make fresh pot of whatever they got
Sadly, as much as I hate Pilot, I am forced to fuel at them and I must admit they have pretty good coffee. They may be a mega-chain, but at least they do something right!
A long, long time ago In a Century Class Freightliner Far, far away.......we had one of those RoadPro 12 volt makers. It was a little slow, but made outstanding hot coffee. That method was abandoned, because the driver would space it off, half full, and take off, then it would tumble over in the sleeper and there would be coffee everywhere but in the decanter.
