I have load to deliver in Chambersburg and was planning to stay at t/a in Breezewood. Can I take hwy 30 from there to Chambersburg or it's restricted?

Restricted. You can either do 70-81 or 76-522-30 but you pay a toll and half the route still sucks.

penndot.gov. STAA PUB 411 on the website lists the restricted routes for various truck configuration.
My brother lives in Chambersburg, not a driver but works at Service Truck Tire Center. They go out 30 all the time to Breezewood for service calls,in the service truck. He said there's a lot of hills on it.
    There's a low clearance on 30 WB .35 mile east of US 11,it's 13'2".

I thought I was smart and took the 30 "shortcut" one time maybe 15 years ago now. I think the sign at the time said something along the lines of, "trucks over 50' not recommended" but don't remember it saying "not allowed". I remember it having lots of steep grades and need most or all of the road to make the turns, it was at night and nobody on the road so I got lucky.

Every time after that I dropped down 70 and come back up 81.

I just drive the extra miles and stay on the interstate if I'm going east to Chambersburg. You can drop down 522 to 30 east, but it's really tedious...I think it's a 15mph downgrade there.

Stay on the interstate in PA if you aren't familiar with the smaller routes. Many of them are no fun.

Can't you just say never mind that load and head the other way to wishy-washy DC? I do love that stretch of 70 between Breezewood and Hagerstown and those delightful smelling trees or plants that grow in the Spring whatever they are.
