Had an encounter with some bozo on a motorcycle yesterday near Ardmore, OK that will surely earn me a call to safety. Got pissed and flipped me off because I wouldn't move over or slow down for him while he was merging. There was traffic beside me and traffic behind me so there really wasn't much I could do without causing a safety problem for others. I'm going 68 while other traffic is doing 75-80+...there was more than enough space in front of him before the on ramp ended for him to accelerate out of the way, but this guy didn't even try. I had two exact same situations happen near OKC 1.5 hours later where I had traffic all around me. Guess what they did? They either sped up to get in front of me or merged safely behind me. Merging right onto my front bumper, brake checking me while 20 feet off my bumper, throwing bottles behind you, etc. is not the correct way to merge onto a highway and you should have your license revoked. Most of the time I move over or slow down by 5-10 mph, but in this situation I couldn't without causing safety issues for others. I'm sorry I didn't put myself or others in danger just to accommodate you. I have zero time or patience for people who thinks the world revolves around them.

The funny part is that I never reacted by laying on the air horn or flashing my lights, which seemed to make him even more livid. He proceeded to then cut off an SUV in the passing lane while I took the next exit to get fuel and change my pants.

On a lighter note, later that evening I had just got on the Kansas turnpike and a KHP Charger passed me doing 78 and moved to the right lane. A couple in a Toyota SUV with Texas plates passed me doing an easy 85 and kept going in the left lane. Bear in mind that while the Charger was a slicktop patrol car, it was a fully marked cruiser otherwise. The Toyota SUV, apparently completely oblivious to everything, passed the trooper a short while later then immediately got pulled over. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile

Had a couple road rage scenarios play out around me yesterday. Had two pickups running nose to tail pass me at a good clip and the back truck cut over with maybe less than a yard clearance at each end and then did the weaving brake check dance with with the other pickup for about half a mile before turning off.
Had another where I could see a pickup pulling a 1 car trailer and a Chicago special white Cascadia dancing behind me for a couple miles before the Cascadia decided discretion was the better part of valor and backed off and after a mile or so the racer took off in pole position.
Don’t know if it’s a full moon or what

Fuel prices seem to be going down today.

Nearly every entrance ramp in Oklahoma has a Yield sign. More than any other state. But they don't care or just stupid or maybe can't read.

The ones in Tulsa are like a whole 100' long. OK highway system just blows chunks for a state that isn't that old in the grand scheme of things. I hated driving through there every other day on the SW fleet, whether it was I-35, the rough riding turnpikes or 69/75.

I always heard some parts of Oklahoma highways wasn't easy to maintain because of the soil/earth moves around alot the bedrock was to deep to build up from. Don't know how true it is.

To be fair, I don't think anybody could've estimated the amount of truck traffic that road gets now.
