Owi Question

I have a owi/refusal that is 1 year old now. My cdl a was suspended for 1 year. I have X endorsement along with an enhancement. I’m looking into the owner operator side, either semi or sprinter van. Can I become an owner operator with this?

 

You better check and see if you can even afford or even get insurance that would be my 1’st concern

 

In Wisconsin, refusal to take a breathalyzer, whether you would have had a BAC of . 02 or . 12, could add to possible OWI charges, which could remain on your record for life.

I’m sure other states now are as strict..
Have to check your state.

 

I think the "refusal" will dog you for eternity.

 

Insurance rates will be really high. Bad driving record and a brand new O/O sends up too many red flags.

 

what is an "enhancement" to the X endorsement..??

 

Had a driver who refused in their personal vehicle. CDL was suspended even though there had been no court dates set.

 

Taking the sprinter path is the only way to go but that’s not trucking.
