I will be leaving for school starting on April 12, 2010. In the past I drove for such companies as Cannon Express, Prime Inc., and *Clears throat and goes to a whisper* J.B. Hunt. I was out there for about 16 months. I go through 15 days in school and then off to 28 days with a trainer for CRST. Anybody have anything good or bad to say about them? I don't know a whole lot about them. Also what new things do I have to look forward to? Awaiting your replies! Jayson C.
Wow Cannon been a while since I heard that name.Being out as long as you've been got to start somewhere , if I am correct don't CRST run mostly teams though. From talking to some of there drivers here and there a pay increase would be nice I never criticize just smile and say man that's great,when thinking your making the same if not less than what I made in 1998 starting out what's wrong with that picture.
Hey Wishful. Yeah. I was at Cannon in 2001-2002. I have to start back somewhere and with 0 miles logged in 7 years I did not have many opportunities so I got this one and jumped on it. No doors at all have been open since I decided I wanted to come back in October of 2009. It doesn't help that I live in Florida either. 8 months at CRST and tons of doors open. Then I can go quite a few places if it doesn't work out. Thanks.
Good luck coming back out. I was out for almost 4 years multiple tours to Iraq then got wounded my last tour . Alot didn't want to touch me because of my injury so I looked and lucked out with a small outfit until they went belly up . But I noticed you might be rusty for the first few days but then it's like riding a bike you don't forget that much.That's my own opinion though

I really hope so. That's the only thing I am worried about. Not the doctor, not the eyes, not the drug test. Just getting back in a truck. Hope it all comes back to me and I am sure it will.
