This company is a joke. It's a meat market. CDL Mill. Stay away unless you like working for nearly nothing. How's $133 dollars a week sound? Average pay for three months. Start out at .22 a mile. You'll be lucky to get 800 miles a week. They give you a load that has to go from IL to GA 660 miles. And you have 4 days to get it there. That means you sit. It's a team company only.

Firstly in the beginning they were great. Rented me a vehicle to get to orientation, recruiter kept my wife updated as to my progress during orientation. Then it started going downhill on the first day of classes. I had previous otr experience prior to coming to crst but had lately been driving buses and buses with trailers. Needless to say they put me through a refresher course. That was fine. My first trainer was racist and extremely moody. She basically left me in a terminal in cali. I sat in that terminal for 5 days then was sent by greyhound over to texas for another trainer who then turned right around and we went back to cali. I had more experience than the gentleman training me so I did most of the paperwork and dealings with consignees. It didn't help that he spoke very little English but we worked through that. Then after training they sent me home via bus. I then began my search for a team driver. My dispatcher seemed to care less if I got one but after 8 days at home I finally got one. To save money they had me drive 6 hours to pick him up then we turned right back around and drove basically right past my house to get to the truck. Upon picking up the truck they wanted us to start right away and get a load. It was 3 in the morning and I had personally been up and driving since 6 am the previous day. So we slept. Woke up and got our first load. 400 miles in 3 days. It went up and down for the next 2 weeks. Then came the night I nearly died. My codriver decided instead of stopping due to very thick fog and horrid visibility to keep going and not wake me up to help find the consignee. I awoke to huge bumps and a scraping noise. I came out of the back and saw we were driving up railroad tracks. That was the scariest night I have ever dealt with. When I called my dispatcher and advised him of the situation he acted like it was my fault for not waking up. I told the dispatcher I wanted a new codriver or to be sent to a better area. He said wait till after Christmas and we'll see what we can do. I was supposed to be home 3 days prior to Christmas to see my doctor for my bloodpressure. Then was informed that I couldn't get a car to go from my codriver's house to mine. That once we hit the codriver's house getting the last 6 hours home wasn't their responsibility. I guess I ruffled enough feathers as I drove home on the 23rd. Needless to say when I called about the new codriver they told me it was my responsibility to make my codriver become a better driver and they would not allow me to change. Needless to say I never went back.
