Yeah, I didn't have much problem with the Freightliner that I had, only thing was it was slow but that was on the company side.

You're still dealing with it in your new truck?

Not really. It displayed “Transmission Fault” after leaving Cedar Rapids, Iowa in a slushy snowstorm on I-80 the first month I had it. I called our breakdown department and talked to Bill, who had ran the shop for years. He told me to keep driving it and that it would probably go away. I asked about cycling the key once I stopped somewhere. That was when he told me cycling the key won’t accomplish anything on the newer trucks and how to reset it by opening the door with the engine off, etc. He told me it might be the stalk and to try gently jiggling it where it meets the column. I did, and the fault went away within a few minutes. I’ve had it happen a few times in the past six months. It went away within minutes each time, though.

Thanks, guys. I dropped it at the Winter Haven terminal and will send an email to breakdowns about it.

Alright, cool, I'm bummed that newer Pete are having this issue also though.

Good eye Rugerfan I looked and didn’t see what appears to be an air coupler fitting back there.

I have a question about how to go about getting some stuff fixed on my truck that's not immobilizing me, like steering and batteries and whatnot, it's not broken down but it has noticeable problems.

Call breakdown and they will get you setup either at Winter Haven, Clovis or a Loves. You don't need to be actually broken down and dead in the water to reach out to breakdown.

I take my hometime at Winter Haven and park my truck there, so for stuff that's not pressing, I wait until I have scheduled hometime then write it up before heading home if that sounds like an option for you.

If your inverter beeps once in a while when you’re making coffee or using the microwave, you might check the battery terminal nuts. They had a tendency to loosen up in my previous truck.

I am positive they are not letting us get any work done at loves unless it is absolutely necessary. Best bet is get to Winter Haven and write it up. Another tip if the inverter voltage seems to be dropping but the truck voltage stays good my bet would be the 200amp fuse is bad it seems to brake one half of the fuse from vibration inverter will work until you put a big load on it like a coffee maker or air fryer.
