I have a head thats pitted and I think the standard thin one piece steel ones are not cutting it. Too thin.

MLS multi layer steel... do they make them?

Do the graphite ones blow out? Ive used them on headers on cars they always burned up. The MLS ones are awesome...

Would doubling up the metal ones work? That is essentially what a MLS one is, the embossed metal ones stacked opposing to make it thicker.

    They have graphite and MLS.

    MLS 23533983

I've never had a problem with either. Neither might seal a pitted head. Maybe spray some copper coat on them. If its bad. The head needs resurfaced. Might get by with high temp copper rtv. No guarantees how long that bandaid will last. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
