That's very good, but I happen to know from your blog that they also make you work on the docks the remainder of your 14 every night for a total of 70 hours a week. That paycheck works out to about $16 bucks an hour for ya or $0.26 cents per mile in 'truckerspeak'. You could lease a truck from Swift and make twice that money for the same hours.

But there's huge value in being home every day for 8.5 hours after factoring in 1.5 hours roundtrip commute daily....

we get $16.50/hr to work the dock
    $11.50 to hook a set
and im home every day, off weekends and holidays
my runs pay either $140 round trip to va 420miles or $170 round trip to atlanta 525 miles

    swift dont even come close

Not to derail the thread but your 525 mile run would pay me $421 after fuel or roughly $42 bucks an hour.

Last year I was paid for 187000 miles that was a ave. of 3596 per week. This year I am right at where I was last year at this time. It's about time I get to drive less and get paid more. but I am maxed out in pay so I guess it is time to start looking for a newer used truck to purchase. Eh?
