Also I got a question. 2014 Freightliner Cascadia. In the morning when it's cranked up and start to go, the check and stop engine light come on until we reach normal op temp. Any ideas?
Well gang, for all of you that tried to get thru today, for those that tried the QC and if you were waiting for money or anything else....sorry. There was a major power upgrade where the electricity and such was scheduled to be turned off from 1400 to 1420. Well I think we got power back a little after 1700 and internet and QC's around 1930. This whole thing was a cluster from hell. I don't know who planned it, but our first indication of pending problems was the name on the contractor's truck : Three stoojes will du yer electric. And the worst part, is theyhave to do it again tonight sometime. What a disaster! Mix that with the weather and you KNOW it was fun!
We have no freight in Laredo right now. About 40 trucks sitting. so instead of paying JOA to deliver our loads locally, we're having the drivers do it. This cold weather has slowed down produce ripening in the fields, hopefully by end of next week we'll be up and going again.
Truck still in shop. They're stumped. I'm starting to think it could be terminal Lemonitus. Student has been recalled to the yard for reassignment. It was suggested by my DM to call Danial and see if he has any trucks in the area. But I don't want another truck. I want the truck I just moved into. The truck I only ran one load in. The 680 I've been dreaming of driving for 6 months... Why?
Got off the yard yesterday by repowering a Purina load to AR, doesn't deliver until Monday am so I'm sitting at the Cherokee Travel Plaza just 15.5 miles from final. Got a PP to Riverside, CA where I will hopefully get my first student. Pity the poor sod. WAKA
