I had a friend that hauled bulk milk, and it was a low, like minimum wage low, paying job, and they ran the socks off him in a day cab. Farm pickup may pay a little more, but that brings in a whole new set of problems.:biggrin_25513:
Can you refer any companies that do 'farm pick up' (milk hauling)? Also, what 'problems' are you speaking of? Thanks!

Tall Mike is correct...the CALEDONIA HAULERS is the best place to work for multiple reasons.

I was just offered a milk hauling job. This is not typical; this is an hourly pay scale through the Teamsters union. They start me out at $15.30 something an hour; time and a half after 8 , double time after 40. Regular 14 hour days, so OT and DT every day. 5 on 2 off 5 on 3 off... On the very low end, we're looking at 50k per annum at least. On the highest end, maxing hours out every day, I'd be looking at $79k for the year. That is literally working a 16 hour shift 5x per week. A more realistic figure I'm looking at, is 60K average. Your results may vary. But those cows don't stop milking for holidays, birthdays, or to sleep. There's work 24/7/365, and that can be good or bad for you depending on your lifestyle.

    knuckledragger Thanks this.

Back east from Minnesota and Wisconsin with a little California...

Once in a while I might see one in the deep south but its rare..

Reloads go right back to Minnesota and Wisconsin usually or at least when I was there they were.

Get use to the east coast if you hire on..
