How can you claim to be an owner operater when the company tells you which truck to drive?
Are you just a 1099 driver in a company truck??

There you go boys and girls...perfect example of someone who is willing to work harder, and not smarter. Sad.

I am a L/P. The 2012 Pete I had signed a lease for. I refused to get back in it after it got out of the body shop because of the APU belching thick smoke. So they've kept me in the loaner I was in while my truck was in the body shop. Not like I was going to sit around and wait for the body to be repaired. They were under obligation in the lease to provide a loaner, which they did. Hope that helps.

Not sure what you mean there. The more I make per mile, the more miles I am inclined to run. I'm not one of these lazy folks that demand to make $70k from my sofa. Nor do I want more pay for less miles. I want more pay and more miles whenever possible.

I believe his point was that the idea of running one's self nearly to death trying to offset a low mileage rate is self-defeating, and I'm inclined to agree.

I personally would rather be paid more for less work, hence the expression "work smarter, not harder". :)

I make 62k a year sitting on the couch, for the most part. I pull a tank 4 days a week. It's a race to the bottom with these pathetic rates on van/reefer garbage freight.
