Im leased to them.Mostly cheap freight, can't hardly get anything over 1.30. They have their daily people net stupid mssgs. Other than that...can't think of anything right now
Ya know, I'd bet a dollar to a donut, that this very question, and others like it, are better answered right here. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/forums/jb-hunt.196/
Worked for them sense Febuary. Dont really have sny bad per say yet. If you have questions and I can answer I will. I will say I make more money than I was told I would, I have not been lied to at all, and they talk to me and treat me A 1 respectfully.
Agree with Md420. If there is a DCS account in your area definitely look it up. Intermodal in some areas is really good but a little more of a game in that you'll need to learn the ropes a bit then the money will come.
I'm at a DCS account not really near a JBH terminal and there is nowhere near that feeling of just another number at a mega company that so many guys have complained about in the reviews you will find.
They honestly pay you,and most of the equiptment is newer,xm radio on the truck, and you can idle the truck to stay comfortable. Slow trucks, unable to get more than 500 miles daily, due to traffic and road construction. Driving a new truck has many advantages, but getting passed, like your standing still,by every pos on the road,is very frustrating. Expect to spend your driving career,in the right lane..think you can get by granny? Dont even think about it. The daily safety message about following distance,is a joke..my following distance depends on how long the other truck was stuck behind me.
This particular job you are referring to Pays you for the 7 days home. Essentially it's 4 weeks paid vacation in return for you never going home. I wouldn't even think about this one. There are other OTR jobs that are 12/2 and 7/1.
