On the higher the Maryland House rest area is good and there's a Walmart and a couple of small truck stops. Try to get to the Maryland House by 1600 if you can.

I like how our trucks automatically apply the brakes when you approach something to fast or get too close. Maybe that is technology the industry should look into. It grinds my gears to see trucks following people with only about 10-15 feet of space. I haven't seen any evidence, but it doesn't seem like speed is the issue. Let's do something about tailgating or just improper following distance in general. Maybe governors can help a little with that in highways if we can't go as fast as everyone else, but it does nothing when the speed limit is lower than the governor setting.

I don't mean to start anything but I was in a truck that applied the brakes automatically and I hated it. I'm not ok with me not being in full control. I think it makes drivers lazier and not pay attention as much when they have less to worry about.

I can barely trust my phone to keep a steady WiFi connection. I definitely wouldn't trust it to keep track of 80000 lbs behind me (or in front of me).

I was having trouble convincing myself this wasn't a joke. I don't like the idea of fully autonomous cars, let alone trucks. I don't see this solving their apparent traffic congestion problem. But i can see it saving fuel costs. All it takes is one of those trucks to mess up and you have a huge mess.

And we haven't even started talking about hacking yet, but yeah just because you can doesn't mean you should. Gotta love the ATA, anything to get driver pay lower lol
