Well, I gotta side with Scotty on the part in bold. Merging traffic should be yielding the right of way, and not expecting anyone to cater to them. However, as we all know, in the event Scotty hits that merging idiot who ignores the law, the company will likely place blame on Scotty for not being aware of his surroundings, thus making it an avoidable accident. And they may say something about that helmet can being a distraction too
scottie said it was "the job" of the 4 wheeler to merge properly. as a general rule, 4 wheelers are not doing thier "job" by driving thier cars. however, the professional CDL driver IS DOING HIS JOB" by driving in a professional manner. it is a "responsibility" to know the rules of the road, for a 4 wheeler, but certainly not thier "job" to do so. and you too would be foolish to think 4 wheelers are going to act, in a responsible manner. again, scotty thinks that picking on every little folly of another CDL driver or 4 wheeler is making him a hero, when in fact, it is making him an arse. and in the end, you agreed, that the company would nail his arse for crashing into the 4 wheeler, and yeah, just to get a "mirror shot" he can be lambasted for that as well. he is no highway hero, at least, not in these eyes of 30+ years of time behind the wheel.
Here's a good Scottie video. Titled male prostitute yet the dude just asks Scottie for fuel to get to orientation. No where does the dude proposition Scottie with any kind of favors in return. Action starts at 3:48
Climbing a hill isn't hard and most hills have a few trucks struggling because of hp and torque. Follow your training and you'll be fine. Every time there's a lane ending you always have the unprofessional driver waiting till the last moment to merge which slows everyone down. If you have your radio on you'll know 10 miles before the lane change which lane to be in. Its frustrating that other people have to drive like jerks but it's part of the job like putting fuel in the tank or washing the windshield.
well let's pick this video apart. 1) he does not wear gloves to protect or to keep his hands clean. 2) at NO time did they man proposition @scottied67 for sexual fun 3) @scottied67 is using the typical "click bait" to get people to what else, click onto his video BS. although i too do not hand out money, maybe that man was on the level, i have known people to drive to orientation, miles and miles away, with just enough money to get there, or they just do not take into account, the fuel mileage of thier vehicles, or prices on the road for food, along the way and maybe tolls as well (in some areas). so by NOT giving the man any money, i can at least see that. but once again, he (@scottied67 ) has proven his worthless videos are just that. worthless. how in the world, have you guys here, been so lax in running him off? seems to me, people like this actually paint the industry and US as the public see's us, in a not too good light, and only add's to the anger many people have towards us, and our livelihood. i am beside myself, in his continued nonsensical professionalism , yet he lambastes everyone else.
