There is no formulas to driving trucks, you get better and better each day behind the wheel. look at some of these military snipers, the hours and practice they have, makes them better and better. I cant pick up a rifle and shoot like them, it will take many hours even years of practice to get better. Practice, Practice, Practice.
Yep!!! That’s it right there. No uselss, complicated formula (10 steps out, 41 steps across??!??) is gonna help. What happens WHEN in the real world you only have 6 steps out and 22 across? You still gotta do it. Don’t waste time on “backing by numbers”. Just get started learning to drive that trailer from day one. PRACTICE!
Have no idea what he is trying to do. You can land an airplane there, where is the difficulty. Ha, Ha, HA
Is that really considered difficult? Serious question because I’m not one of those guys that says “that looks wide open!!” I drive local in Philly. Just wondering if that is something that is universally considered challenging. No judging, just curious
not much, 2 dock spaces available. If only one dock, back in with your doors closed, once in pull all the way out open doors, back in again, all lined up. I have done that many times providing space to pull all the way out.
Update: I’ve been in the real world 2 weeks, and it not that difficult. It’s a lot less pressure on me, then what I had taking the exam for alley dock backing. Although I must say I still use my “stupid useless formula “ and it gets me right where I need to be. In the space that is open. So with that said, it doesn’t matter about the style or formula you use, it’s mores so about turn hard right or hard left at the exact right time you have to.
