Piggybacking on this, but switching carriers is also just switching problems. Some problems are more bearable than others. Mercer isn't perfect, but the issues I have encountered are not serious enough to warrant leaving.

Having said that, we all know when we've had enough.

I sold out several years before I thought I would. But, one day I had, had enough and put everything up for sale, never hauled another load again.

Those important decisions can only be made by one man. In the end you hope you made more good decisions than bad ones and you end up with some money in your pocket. Only @TruckerPete1990 knows what is going on in Pete's life.

I remember that and the rest of the nickel and dime bullsh!t that went along with it. We pay $20 a month for bobtail here.

I heard that even if you have your own trailer at LandStar you may end up doing a drop and hook, then whoever pulls your trailer pays rent on it while you in turn are renting someone else's trailer. Also you may not get your trailer back for months. I was told that by a small fleet operator who also showed me the settlement sheet with all those nickle and dime deductions on every load. I can't verify the part about giving up your own trailer for others to use.

Marine vinyl is always preferred verus army, air force, or navy vinyl but I might be a bit biased.
    Looks good.

Gotta love these 50 degree mornings doing securement. Perfect weather for it. And Saturday morning loading at the mill was a ghost town. Win win.

That's sounds crazy. I certainly wouldn't be departing from my trailer.

    No truth behind this whatsoever....
