Do you have a CB “handle”? How did you come up with it?

What I’m curious about is:

1. What is your handle?
2. Did you come up with it, or was it given to you by co-workers, boss, etc...?

My handle is “Beethoven”. It was given to me by a co-worker because I had used his truck one day and left the radio station on a classical music station (only music I listen to).

He said “I got in my truck and there was this violin music playing”, to which I said “it’s a huge improvement over that barnyard, hoe down crap you had programmed”.

p.s. if you’re ever around the Little Rock, AR area just shout out for Beethoven. I’m pretty well known with all the local drivers.

My handle is Gdog... I used to workout a lot in high school and we all had nicknames for our first name and mine was Gdog... name stuck with me ever since..

 

“Mister money is no object”
I use to say money was no object when I was single, no house, no kids, no pets running team. Lots of money in the bank. Friends started to call me that.

 

“They call me . . . . “

is the giveaway that, “The Terminator”, dreamt that one up in Momma’s basement. No one else gave it to him.

I haven’t ever used one. Mainly because I’ve almost always been OTR. Rarely run into the same drivers.

These days it’s mainly for locals trying their best to be the big fish in a small pond.

I find it fun to mess with them based on an earlier diatribe they’ve made as it may have been months since I was last there. Catch them out. Tell them to go back home.

Now, there are some who are well-known and helpful. I don’t wish to tar all with the same brush. But those others —back on the air every five minutes — are wearying.

To use “a handle” the right way, IMO, is to have a different voice every time you go through. And ask the same ###### questions. Same order. Same replies to answers (even if it makes no sense; just read the script).

Before too many trips, some deep swimming fishie will surface to take the bait.

Or, use the same handle as the great big fat fishie. You’ll need a rig that booms to make it fun. The “can’t be ignored” radio rig.

There’s no end of fun with “innocent” use of a CB handle.

Just remember that drivers are like prisoners. Lifers. All the time in the world to figure out a scam. Make ‘em enjoy it.

Usually it's where is that *&^% deaf sob? Well there is not many of those out there. (That can hear that.) there were a few others but used only for a short time. Don't remember what they were now.
