... for 2000+ years. Nothing is allowed to change unless you admit it is bad.

I mean, fair enough. And I'm DEFINITELY at a company where I am going to drive a million miles or more. But what I was more pointing to was the fact that $2000 extra per year at a low-paying company isn't all that enticing. If you got the $20,000 within the first few years, that would be a selling point. But every six months for a decade, while making pretty sad money? Nah.

The safety departments of megacarriers are typically staffed by the Kool-aid drinking million-miler types.

Really? When I was at Schneider, it was staffed by people who had never driven a truck and talked to you like they were in some form of government law enforcement. Lol

Sni safety people believe its your fault no matter what too...you could be parked and they would blame tou and then ask you how to prevent that from happening again.

Hahaha and anybody who hasn't driven for Schneider has no idea how tragically hilarious this is. Spot on.

Did a short term with Big Orange. 1500 miles a week, all live load and unloads, 4 to 8 hours every time. Yuk.
Worse were the recruiting pepole at j b hunt. a bunch of retired bus drivers with no actual truck driving experience. When they told me l wasn't a driver until j b hunt said l was qualified driver, l walked out to my car and drove home.

May God have mercy on anyone in front of the rest of us if J.B Hunt is the standard bearer.

They were a good company, once upon a time.

But you can say that about a lot of companies that have gone downhill.
