Nice I will put them on the list. How does their tarps/equipment quality compare to tarpstop or mytee?
In what way? Do they have their own textile mill to produce the mesh and lay the vinyl? Do they use some special thread immune to rot to sew the hems? Stainless hardware? What makes them any different? Treated right most tarps will last forever, but treated wrong they won't finish the trip.
Have you just bought this business or are you Noels' son? (I think it's Noel - guy with the English accent). I heard you key up on the CB the other day when I passed by, always a good idea to run a short base station advertisement - many drivers probably don't know you're there. There's Mallory Canvas in Carthage - but they seem to focus more on roll tarps.
They've lasted me pretty well. I had them patch and repair a pool cover and they did a real good job, considering the age of it. I've never had them make custom tarps for me - big ones like Steve at Tri-City, but the regular stuff they make there seems good.
I used to love tri city canvas but now I don’t recommend them. I’ve bought 4 tarps there and so disappointed. Maybe 5-6 months old and all d rings are rusted with stitching torn on 2 of them and I only tarp 1-2 times a week. They also don’t stock anything. Last time I went but they only had 10oz ones and ripstop (do not ever buy!) ones.
Agreed - their d-rings they were using rusted pretty quickly. I personally liked the rip stop, worked well on what I had them for.
